As a Hospital Security Officer, You Will

• Be a Guardian of Safety: Respond promptly and prudently to calls for assistance, addressing incidents involving unruly individuals, crimes, and emergency codes.
• Maintain Order & De-escalate: Intervene and control security incidents, effectively de-escalating situations, and utilizing approved techniques, including "Use of Force" and citizen's arrest, when necessary and legally permissible.
• Vigilant Patrols: Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of facilities and grounds, monitor security alarms, and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Utilize Technology: Effectively operate and manage security equipment and IT applications such as radios, badge access systems, and camera systems.
• Professional Presence: Project a high level of professionalism and integrity, integrating seamlessly with clinical care teams to assist with patient movement and restraint when requested.
• Respond & Report: Demonstrate strong knowledge of emergency procedures, investigate security breaches, and meticulously document incidents, including HIPAA breaches.

Job Requirements

Required Experience:

• Six (6) months of experience as a security officer in a hospital or healthcare setting, OR
• Prior law enforcement or military service, OR
• One (1) year of general security officer experience.
  
  

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent, OR
• Three (3) years of experience as a security officer (in lieu of a high school diploma/GED).

Pay Range

$17.10 - $22.88 /hour
