Nebraska Heart Institute is a 63 bed Cardiovascular specialty hospital with a universal bed model where the patient remains in one room throughout their stay. This site has received numerous Healthgrade awards including accolades for outstanding patient experience and safety.
Pay Range
$54.06 - $63.07 /hour
This is a full-time Electrophysiology Cardiology opportunity. Individuals with previous Cardiology RN or clinical/hospital experience are encouraged to apply.
- Enjoy autonomy and collaboration with the Electrophysiology Cardiology team
- Establish your own patient panel
- Inpatient new consults and rounding at both CHI Health Nebraska Heart Hospital
- Exposure to procedural device implantation
- Schedule includes clinic, hospital and outreach
- Assist and support cardiologists with "in-box"
- Patient Discharges
- Weekend and holiday rotation 1:8
- Performs history and physical assessments of patients that are accurate, concise, relevant, and appropriate
- Responsible for patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, health promotion, and care
- Orders, reviews and interprets diagnostic, radiologic and laboratory tests as appropriate to the patient’s
- Furnishes/transmits medications and treatments and writes prescriptions, providing refills as appropriate
- Review’s treatment and therapy plans with the patient and appropriate family members offering education and
- Performs routine procedures pertinent to the practice and as granted through the privileging process
- As applicable to specialty service, conducts daily hospital rounds, performs ED and hospital consults as needed
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to facilitate discharge and post hospitalization care.
- Documents information in the electronic medical record according to both hospital, medical group and
post operative notes, admission and discharge notes, medication delivery, and procedural notes.
- Detects changes in a patient’s health and alters treatment plans as necessary. Evaluates and clarifies clinical conditions, including recognition and management of postoperative complications
- Facilitates consults with and/or patient referral to the appropriate physician or agency
- Completes applicable forms/documents based on practice specialty
- Effectively communicates with patients and responds to messages within established time frames
- Uses computer and telecommunication modalities to document, track and convey information proficiently
