Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Patient Access Representative, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patient registration, managing demographic and insurance data across various hospital access points to ensure accurate record-keeping.
Every day, you will utilize multiple complex systems to document patient information, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and support high-volume workflows to maintain seamless hospital operations.

CHI St. Anthony Hospital is a 25 bed, licensed for 49, faith-based, acute care, level four trauma, critical access hospital and healthcare campus serving the Pendleton, Oregon area for more than 100 years. Pay Range
$19.87 - $28.06 /hour

- Receives inbound calls and fax requests, processes scheduling requests, and performs outbound calls to coordinate patient appointments.
- Maintains scheduling systems to ensure accuracy, resolve conflicts, and optimize use of available resources.
- Obtains and verifies all required patient, clinical, and insurance information necessary to schedule complex services.
- Verifies insurance eligibility and identifies authorization, referral, and payer‑specific requirements required for scheduling.
- Applies sound judgment when scheduling services that require sequencing, extended time, or coordination of multiple components.
Required
- High School Graduate or GED
- A miminum of three (3) years previous Patient Scheduling or Patient Access experience
- Experience in a hospital environment, medical terminology, knowledge of CPT/ICD-9 codes, ability to multitask and prioritization skills.
