Role
This opportunity sits within a well-established Labor and Employment team, supporting a mix of contentious and advisory matters. The role offers exposure to sophisticated employment litigation as well as day-to-day advisory work, providing a strong platform for professional development.
You will work closely with senior lawyers on complex mandates while taking increasing ownership of matters and developing direct client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support employment litigation matters including pleadings, motions and case strategy
- Assist with discovery, document review and evidence analysis
- Contribute to internal investigations and fact-finding exercises
- Advise clients on a range of employment issues including workplace policies, compliance and risk management
- Conduct legal research and prepare client-ready memoranda and briefings
- Collaborate with colleagues across offices and practice areas on multi-disciplinary matters
Key Skills
- Qualified lawyer admitted and in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction
- Proven experience in labor & employment law (litigation and/or advisory)
- Strong academic background and legal drafting skills
- Experience handling employment disputes and/or workplace investigations
- Commercial awareness and ability to deliver pragmatic legal advice
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to interact with clients
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
