Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Facility Maintenance Teammates ensure that the expectations of safety, cleanliness, and functionality are met throughout the facility.
This is a 2nd shift position: 5pm-4am.
- Ensure that the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
- Utilize fork lifts to safely transport dumpsters & other material throughout the plant.
- Identify potential hazards and take appropriate actions to address them.
- Respond to facility-related emergencies as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of facility activities and report any issues to management.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
Compensation
$30.01/hour Base Rate $17.76/hour $1.00 Shift Differential Example 60% Production Bonus = $30.01/hour total
Production Bonus
Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly.
Profit-Sharing
10% of Nucor's pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year experience in janitorial/housekeeping, customer service, or general labor
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years experience in a janitorial or housekeeping position
- 1 year experience operating a fork lift
