Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an Infusion Nurse, you will administer intravenous (IV) therapies and medications, ensuring safe and effective patient care delivery.
Every day you will assess needs, manage infusion devices, meticulously prepare and administer medications, educate patients, and monitor for complications.
To be successful, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical assessment, precise technical proficiency, compassionate communication, and adherence to sterile and safety protocols.

The Good Samaritan Cancer Center is focused on providing clinical excellence in a healing environment and offers: infusion therapy, radiation therapy, a genetic counselor, a tobacco cessation counselor, nurses, patient navigators, outreach coordinators, an educational library, support groups, a healing garden, educational seminars, and a wide range of clinical trials.
Established by the Sisters of the St. Francis in 1924 CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 268-bed regional referral center in Kearney, Nebraska. At CHI Health Good Samaritan you’ll find an advanced level trauma center that also offers AirCare emergency helicopter transport and an ambulance program providing long distance and local 911 service. Among our many other services are cardiac care including open-heart surgery, a level II neonatal intensive care unit, a nationally accredited cancer center, comprehensive neurosurgery, advanced orthopedic program, and inpatient and outpatient mental health services at our free-standing Richard Young Behavioral Health facility.
Pay Range
$30.39 - $44.06 /hour

- Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, collaborate with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
- Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments
- Ability to assess and reassess pain and educate the patient and family regarding pain management
- Maintains medical equipment which includes cleaning/disinfecting equipment, stretcher, etc. after use.
- Maintains accurate and continued nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, responses and assessment of changes
Required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Cancer Chemotherapy Provider (CCHEMOP) within 6 months from start date
