Position Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Intern to support our global marketing efforts. This role offers hands-on experience managing a consumer brand’s social presence, working alongside our China-based social media team, and contributing to exciting in-person activations at events such as KCON, Anime Expo, conventions, festivals, and drift races.
This is an unpaid internship, but interns will receive an official internship certificate and reimbursement for transportation when attending live events.
Responsibilities
- Shadow and collaborate with our Chinese social media team (requires availability for evening meetings, typically between 7–10 PM PST).
- Manage and maintain the Chi Forest Global Instagram account @chiforest with regular posting and community engagement.
- Contribute creative ideas for content strategy, campaigns, and overall social media direction.
- Create, film, and edit content for social media platforms, including coverage at live events (e.g., KCON, Anime Expo, conventions, festivals, drift races).
- Support day-to-day social media operations and reporting as needed.
Requirements
- Strong interest in social media, content creation, and digital marketing.
- Ability to work 10–20 hours per week, daytime work flexible to candidate's schedule (ideal for currently enrolled students) with flexibility for evening meetings (weekday nights PST).
- Comfortable working remotely, with occasional in-person attendance at events (all transportation reimbursed).
- Basic content creation and video editing skills (mobile or desktop tools acceptable).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with ideas.
- Familiarity with Instagram and emerging social media trends.
