POSITION SUMMARYThe host will greet guests upon arrival, inform guests of wait times, monitor the waiting list, enter guest names into the computer system, show guests to their table and bid farewell as they leave. The Host will create a warm and welcoming environment by presenting a positive first impression.ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Welcome guests by greeting them per the company standards and respond to customer queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer satisfactionEscort guests to seats and set them up for a pleasurable dining experience based on the appropriate floor planDeliver a fantastic food and beverage dining experience to all guestsPromote and maintain the highest level of customer service to all guests while staying alert to their needsProvide guests with food and beverage menus while demonstrating expert knowledge of all menu items, as well as daily specialsReceive and record dining reservations or respond to general inquiries via telephone or online reservation systemConfer with dining room staff to ensure guests are receiving prompt and courteous serviceMaintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic and graceful attitudeActively participate during lineupEnsure consistent communication with staff members, management, and the kitchen during service Demonstrate ability to aid co-workers during service while successfully maintaining responsibilitiesMaintain a welcoming and orderly restaurant environment Demonstrate knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) standardsEnsure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards Maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during, and after serviceComplete all assigned side work as assigned by managementFollow all company policies, procedures, and guidelinesConsistently report to scheduled shifts on time and ready to work in proper uniformOperate ethically to protect the assets and image of the companyKNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS Restaurant experience, especially in high-volume settings, is desirable.Previous related experience preferred.Dedication to delivering exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Well-organized and precise attention to detail.Ability to operate point-of-sale systems.Capable of following directions and executing tasks effectively.Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness in both workspace and service areas.Professional and polished demeanor.Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to perform essential job functions safely and successfully consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.Must be able to lift, balance and carry up to 25 lbs.Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and climb steps regularly.Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.COMPENSATIONThe base pay range for this position is $24.00 to $27.00 per hour.
