1st Shift Receiving Associate

Job description:

Chex Finer Foods, a leading distributor providing specialty and natural products to independent and chain retailers is accepting applications for Receiving Associates.

Responsibilities:

• Loads/unloads stacks and moves items as assigned.
• May sort, bundle and fill containers or place in assembled units.
• May mark or put identifying labels on product loads.
• May record movement of stock in/out of work areas.
• Monitors materials, products, and equipment at each step of the process and reports irregularities to supervisor.
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store).
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers.
• Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Perform any other assigned tasks.
• Reach truck operation preferred.
  
  
  

Schedule & Compensation:

• First Shift Monday through Friday 6:00a-2:30p. 5 days a week.
• The starting rate is $20.00/ hour.
• Overtime required as business dictates.
  
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee
  
  
  

must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 125 pounds.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to perform in a production measured environment where accuracy is essential.
• Ability to operate a riding pallet jack in a safe manner required.
• Reach truck experience preferred.
• Ride on pallet jack experience preferred
• Must be a team player.
  
  
  

All hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check. Ongoing screens required.
