Duties

- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and returns
- Assist customers with product inquiries, offering product demos and suggesting additional items through effective upselling techniques
- Maintain accurate cash register operations with attention to retail math and basic math skills
- Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure the sales floor is clean, tidy, and well-presented in line with merchandising standards
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with stocking to ensure product availability at all times
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support store operations by participating in merchandising efforts and ensuring compliance with store policies
- Engage customers in product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging sales growth
- Assist in training new team members or supervising junior staff when needed to foster a collaborative team environment
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service roles is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills to clearly convey information and build rapport with customers and team members
