Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product inquiries, including product demos and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Restock shelves, merchandise displays, and ensure the store is well-organized through effective merchandising and stocking practices
- Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits of various items
- Support supervising staff in managing daily store operations and ensuring adherence to company policies
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers in a bilingual environment if applicable
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, retail math, and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Proven supervising experience or leadership capabilities in a retail or grocery store setting
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory management efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Knowledge of grocery store operations is a plus for understanding product placement and inventory flow
