What are the responsibilities and job description for the SME Computer Network Architect position at Chevo?
Chevo is hiring an experienced SME Computer Network Architect to join our expanding firm. This position provides the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business by becoming a trusted advisor. This role will support to support the modernization of U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) systems. This position offers the opportunity to lead secure system integration efforts across mission-critical logistics, finance, and asset management platforms. Ideal candidates will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to designing modern data architectures, normalize, cleanse and govern data and ensure compliance.
This position is hybrid with at least one day a week at the USCG client located at 2401 Hawkins Point Rd, Baltimore, MD
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Architect secure, scalable, and interoperable network solutions across legacy and modernized USCG systems.
- Lead the design and implementation of API-based system integrations to enhance data exchange and reduce manual data transfers.
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards
- Develop and maintain Interconnection Security Agreements (ISAs) and security documentation.
- Support implementation and ensure alignment with DHS-Enterprise Architecture policies.
- Collaborate with software developers, data engineers, and system owners to ensure seamless integration and secure connectivity.
Required Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of experience in network architecture, cybersecurity, or enterprise system integration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Active Public Trust or ability to obtain one
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience supporting U.S. Coast Guard or another DHS component
- Familiarity with DHS systems and USCG platforms such as FSMS, PRISM, NESSS, and FLS.
SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $120,000
