**Position Overview**

We are seeking a Full-time Fashion customization expert to join our team at The Galleria Mall in Houston, TX. In this role, you will help customers by providing product information and facilitating customization of our pieces to meet their preferences, while also meeting the store's sales goals.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Denim Customization Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of denim fabrics, advanced customization techniques, and a keen eye for design. This role involves transforming standard denim garments into unique, personalized pieces through a variety of artistic and technical methods, catering to individual client preferences and brand aesthetics. The Denim Customization Expert will be responsible for both hands-on execution and providing expert advice to clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

* Customization Execution:

* Perform a wide range of denim customization techniques, including but not limited to: distressing (rips, tears, abrasions), patchwork, embroidery (hand and machine), painting, dyeing, studding, embellishing, deconstruction, and reconstruction.

* Work with precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and durability of customized garments.

* Source and manage materials, tools, and equipment necessary for customization projects.

* Design & Consultation:

* Collaborate directly with clients to understand their vision, provide design suggestions, and translate their ideas into tangible denim customizations.

* Develop and propose innovative customization concepts that align with current trends and brand identity.

* Technical Expertise:

* Possess a deep understanding of different denim weights, washes, weaves, and their behavior under various customization processes.

* Operate and maintain specialized machinery and tools used in denim customization

* Troubleshoot technical challenges related to denim manipulation and customization.

* Quality Control:

* Inspect customized garments for quality, durability, and adherence to design specifications before delivery.

* Ensure all customization work meets the highest standards of craftsmanship.

* Innovation & Trend Research:

* Stay abreast of the latest trends in denim fashion, customization techniques, and sustainable practices.

* Contribute to the developm(distressing, embroidery, painting, bleaching, patchwork, etc.).

* Ability to operate and maintain relevant industrial machinery (sewing machines, embroidery machines, specialized finishing equipment).

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively consult with clients and collaborate with a team.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines.

* (Preferred but not required): Degree or certification in Fashion Design, Textile Arts, Fine Arts, or a related field.

Physical Requirements:

* Ability to stand for extended periods.

* Dexterity to handle small tools and manipulate fabrics precisely.

* Ability to lift and move denim garments and equipment as needed.
