We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of customer service, and the ability to manage reservations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting guests with reservations and inquiries.
- Utilize POS systems, such as Aloha POS, to manage orders and track guest preferences.
- Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies to guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, enhancing overall guest relations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; training will be provided if necessary.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help both guests and team members are essential.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
