What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resort Sales Manager position at Chetola Resort?
The Chetola Resort is one of the top destination resorts in the Carolinas. Located in iconic Blowing Rock, the resort is only 90 minutes from the Charlotte Airport. Chetola spans 140 acres, offers award-winning amenities, and is the largest private employer in town.
The resort is looking for a Group Sales Manager to continue the legacy of exceptional experiences and outstanding service that have been provided to guests and clients by the Chetola Resort for decades.
The Sales Manager will:
- Solicit business across several segments in several markets.
- Assist the Director of Sales in strategy development for improving revenues.
- Maintain and grow existing accounts.
- Pursue new accounts using sales and prospecting techniques.
- Study trends to best respond.
- Follow up on sales leads and monitor prospective business until commitment.
- Be an expert on the competition to best present Chetola to clients.
- Assist in developing the resort marketing plan.
- Make effective use of sales systems and property management systems.
- Meet booking goals established with Director of Sales.
This position will have a starting salary of $60,000 and will be eligible to participate in property sales incentive programs.
The Sales Manager will also be eligible to participate in the suite of insurance products offered by the resort to associates, including Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, among other options.
Requirements:Previous Hotel or Resort experience is required.
Previous Sales experience is preferred.
Knowledge of sales systems and hotel management systems is a plus.
