THE ROLE

Chetola Resort is seeking a dependable, hard-working Line Cook to join our culinary team and contribute during our evening shift from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced, team-focused environment. This position plays an essential role in preparing dishes to our exacting standards, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, and supporting a positive guest dining experience at Timberlake’s Restaurant.

What You’ll Do

Food Preparation & Execution

• Prepare menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and chef instructions
• Set up and stock workstations with necessary supplies and ingredients
• Cook food items with consistency, accuracy, and efficiency
• Maintain presentation, temperature, and quality standards during service
  
  

Cleanliness & Kitchen Safety

• Ensure all workstations, equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures (ServSafe standards)
• Monitor and minimize food waste
• Assist with receiving, labeling, and rotating food product deliveries
  
  

Team Collaboration & Support

• Work closely with other cooks, prep staff, dishwashers, and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth kitchen operations
• Communicate any issues or shortages with supervisors promptly
• Be flexible and willing to assist with other duties as needed

Requirements

• Previous kitchen experience required
• Understanding of basic cooking techniques, knife handling, and food safety standards
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a hot kitchen environment
