Job Overview
The Onsite Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a senior apartment community, ensuring a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for elderly residents. This position requires excellent customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to manage property operations in compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for residents, vendors, and property management.
- Oversee the leasing process, including application review, move-ins, and move-outs.
- Maintain accurate resident records and files in compliance with Fair Housing and HUD guidelines.
- Collect rent and other payments; issue receipts and maintain deposit records.
- Conduct regular property inspections and coordinate maintenance or repairs with contractors.
- Ensure all common areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Respond promptly to resident concerns, emergencies, or maintenance issues.
- Enforce community policies and rules respectfully and consistently.
- Maintain open communication with ownership or regional management through regular reports and updates.
- Plan or assist with community activities or programs that promote resident engagement and wellbeing.
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in property management or similar housing role (senior or affordable housing experience preferred).
- Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and property management best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with elderly residents.
- Basic bookkeeping or rent collection experience.
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, property management software).
- Reliable, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities independently.
- Must live onsite (housing provided).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.50 - $24.51 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
