Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on golf course equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, and power tools
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools, accurately diagnosing engine, electrical, and hydraulic problems
- Repair and overhaul diesel engines, small engines, and mechanical systems to ensure reliable operation
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on equipment with electrical systems, utilizing soldering and electrical work techniques
- Maintain detailed service records and logs of all repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and power generation systems to execute repairs efficiently
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for equipment replacement or component installation
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with automotive or heavy equipment repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge of engines, electrical systems, schematics, and equipment troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, electrical diagnostics, welding, soldering, and small engine maintenance
- Familiarity with Caterpillar, John Deere, or Troy Bilt, machinery or similar heavy equipment is preferred
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for effective repairs
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
