What You’ll Do

As Director of Nursing, you will serve as the clinical leader of the facility—overseeing all nursing operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence in resident care.

Clinical Leadership & Operations

  • Direct and oversee all nursing services in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations

  • Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff to ensure high performance and accountability

  • Conduct daily rounds to monitor resident care, staff performance, and overall clinical outcomes

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet the needs of residents

Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain survey readiness and oversee plans of correction

  • Ensure compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and all regulatory standards

  • Coordinate Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives

  • Monitor clinical practices to ensure residents are treated with dignity, respect, and compassion

Resident Care & Coordination

  • Oversee resident assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of care

  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care

  • Participate in admissions and evaluate prospective residents for appropriate placement

  • Provide education and support to residents and families as needed

Staff Development & Engagement

  • Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff

  • Implement and maintain orientation and ongoing education programs

  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching, counseling, and discipline as needed

  • Promote a positive work environment that supports teamwork and professional growth

Administrative & Financial Oversight

  • Assist in developing and managing the nursing department budget

  • Review billing processes, including Medicare-related documentation

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure proper documentation practices

  • Update and maintain nursing policies and procedures in accordance with regulations

What We’re Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)

  • Current BLS certification (AHA Healthcare Provider preferred)

  • Previous Director of Nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting preferred

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations

  • Proven leadership, organizational, and clinical skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Commitment to quality care, compliance, and team development
