Technology Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Technology Teacher to inspire and educate students in the exciting world of learning technology. Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive technology curricula aligned with educational standards, including lessons on coding, digital literacy, and hardware/software use.
• Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate various learning styles and adapt to individual student needs, especially in inclusive or special education settings.
• Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to organize coursework, track student progress, and facilitate online learning activities.
• Assess student performance through data analysis, standardized testing results, and project evaluations to inform instructional strategies.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques while fostering an inclusive environment respectful of diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school-wide technology initiatives, and extracurricular programs such as coding clubs or robotics teams.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of educational compliance regulations related to technology use and ensure all activities adhere to safety standards.

Experience

• Proven classroom teaching experience in a technology-related subject area within a school setting.
• Familiarity with curriculum development tailored for various age groups and learning abilities, including special education students.
• Hands-on experience with LMS platforms for lesson delivery, assessment tracking, and student engagement.
• Strong understanding of childhood development principles, literacy education, math integration, and behavior management strategies.
• Experience working with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapting instruction accordingly.
• Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and data analysis techniques to evaluate student performance effectively.
• Prior experience in private or Montessori school environments is advantageous but not required; a passion for innovative teaching methods is essential.
