Role Description The Facilities Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Chesterfield Towne Center in Richmond, VA. This role is responsible for performing daily building and equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and repair tasks to ensure the property remains safe, clean, and fully operational. Responsibilities include responding to maintenance requests, troubleshooting issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and supporting preventive maintenance programs. The Facilities Technician also assists with upkeep of common areas, coordinates with vendors and contractors as needed, and follows safety procedures and facility management standards in all work performed.

Qualifications
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Building Maintenance, including routine inspections and preventive care.
- Experience in Facility Management (FM), with the ability to prioritize work orders and support overall property operations.
- Hands-on ability in Maintenance & Repair, including basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing tasks.
- Proficient Troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve facility-related issues efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and best practices for commercial facilities.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with management, tenants, and vendors.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in building or mechanical systems is a plus.
- Previous experience in facilities, building operations, or commercial property maintenance preferred.
- Ability to lift moderate weights, stand and walk for extended periods, and work some evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
