Role Description
We have two openings currently.
One is an immediate, full time classroom role working with 2.5 to 6 year old children during lunch, recess, nap and Extended Day. The hours are 11 AM to 5:30 PM, M-F. This position includes 100% employer paid health insurance and other benefits.
The other position is a long-term substitute position in our Upper Elementary classroom for 9-12 year old children. The sub will be acting as a classroom assistant during a 6-8 week maternity leave, from mid-to late January to mid March. Additional hours of paid training will be included prior to the full time start.
The sub role could lead to a full-time position, or regular subbing opportunities after the Elementary position ends.
Both roles pay $17.00/hour
Qualifications
- Experience working children
- Familiarity with Montessori principles and methodologies preferred
- Ability to manage classroom environments and assist with daily routines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and support lead teachers
- First aid and CPR certification is a plus
