Under general supervision, performs a variety of secretarial, administrative, technology-related, and receptionist activities of the Department of Voter Registration and Elections. Assists in all voter registration functions and all elections in Chesterfield County to ensure the secure, fair and impartial election of public officials. Reports to the Chesterfield County Registration and Election Director. Ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a customer-oriented demeanor. Ensures accurate implementation of all voter registration and election procedures as established by laws and regulations. Assists with Early Voting and absentee voting process and voter registration for the county. Assists with all elections held in Chesterfield County including assisting in securing polling sites as well as poll workers. Maintains confidential records and files, will assist with training program for poll managers and clerks. Assists in managing voting day problems. Performs a variety of receptionist duties such as greeting voters, answering incoming calls, and providing information to the public. Process account payable, preparing requisition for payment, maintains inventory of office supplies, and processes incoming and outgoing mail. Operates a variety of equipment such as a computer, printer, typewriter, microfiche reader, modem, voting machines, fax machine, copier, calculator, and telephone.
