Minimum Qualifications
Associate‘s degree in business, insurance or related field; three years of experience in claims processing, underwriting or accounting; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Working knowledge of automotive warranty programs for major automotive manufacturers; of automotive vehicles and their components. General understanding of fleet operations to include knowledge of fueling, warranty/recall, and motor pool operations. Ability to interpret and apply manufacturer vehicle warranty programs, claims processes and payments. Strong working knowledge of computer applications including automated financial/fleet management information systems, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to work independently as well as a cohesive member of a team; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work at all levels within a large, diverse organization.
Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date.

Under general supervision, performs work of routine difficulty in automotive warranty and recall recovery activities and performs administration functions of the division's fuel program including fuel site inventory monitoring. Prepares and processes purchase orders, receives and processes invoices, accordingly, provides customer service to internal and external vendors. Prepares and processes automotive warranty claims in accordance with warranty policies and follows up on reimbursement or warranty parts from manufacturers or vendors. Researches, identifies and receives information on automotive recalls and technical service bulletins from major automotive manufacturers and coordinates repair work with customers. Administers warranty parts to include shipping, receiving and storage. Coordinates specialized or off-site repair work such as glass replacement and repair and accident/body repair work; processes work orders. Notifies leadership of warranty policy and procedure changes. Updates an automated information system to monitor claim status and prepares claim status reports. Corresponds with manufacturers, vendors, and customers on warranty, recall, and repair issues and problems. Monitors fuel inventories; coordinates and reconciles fuel deliveries. Processes billing from fuel vendors; reviews customer transactions; addresses any issues of impropriety; performs billing actions. Generates regular and ad hoc reporting related to fueling operations. Perform other work as required.
