What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Support Specialist position at Chesterfield County, VA?

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; two years of experience in secretarial work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.


Duties

Prepare a variety of letters, legal documents, reports, etc. Proofread documents for accuracy. Process mail, check requests, purchase orders, and prepare recordation coversheets. Screen calls and visitors directing them to proper personnel. Maintain electronic and digital office files, maintain & order office supplies. Provide assistance and support to staff. Ability to work independently and perform other work as required. Experience in Real Estate/Legal Environment helpful. This position is part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) and offers career progression opportunities and salary incentives, as funding permits, based on performance, qualifications, and experience.

Shift

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Tuesday & Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
