Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field; two years of supervisory experience (three years preferred); minimum of three years of administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Knowledge of human resource administration and employment laws. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and support essential county functions and contribute to the effective delivery of public services. Ability to apply policies and guidelines to a wide array of situations using critical thinking and reasoning skills to make sound decisions and involved in management’s short- and long-term strategic planning. Demonstrate strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills and prepare and/or processes confidential and sensitive written correspondence and other documents. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.

Duties

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Human Resources and Administration activities, including customer service, payroll, recruiting and hiring, personnel matters, State Compensation Board reimbursements, records management and destruction, and purchasing. This role supervises the administrative team and seasonal temporary staff while ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant workflow across the department. Performs other work as required.

Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
