What are the responsibilities and job description for the 911 Telecommunicator position at Chesterfield County E911?
Under general supervision, Telecommunicator receives and processes 911 emergency calls, prioritizes calls, and dispatches police, fire, medical, or other emergency units as necessary and in accordance with established procedures. Enters and updates data and retrieves information from a variety of computer systems. The position requires a high school diploma or GED. Must possess or obtain and maintain NCIC and 9-1-1 certifications. MUST POSSESS A VALID STATE DRIVER’S LICENSE AND HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD. Applications will be taken until all positions are filled.
