As a Preschool Cook at Chesterbrook Academy, you will plan, organize, supervise, and participate in the preparation, cooking, baking, and serving of a variety of foods in quantity. You will serve food hygienically and interact with children to model proper eating etiquette and food handling. Our school cooks are responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and organized according to health department standards. You will assist our school operations with classroom coverage, morning and afternoon bus runs, and more.

Responsibilities
- Culture: Positively influence your peers to work toward and meet the school’s vision of excellence. Provides and maintains quality meal programs. Ensures safe and efficient delivery of food to the children.
- Health & Safety: Maintain a clean kitchen, cooking, and prep area for meals to be served safely daily.
- Serve & Engage: Serve and engage our students, teaching them eating etiquette and proper food handling that will serve them for a lifetime!
- Relationship Building: Have a strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse educators and administrators. Develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with the families, students, and school community.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Comply with all company and state-specific standards and maintains validation of required credentials for the position.
- Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students.
- High School Diploma or GED AND at least two years of experience with cooking in large quantities, preferably in a school setting.
- Obtain, or willing to obtain, a ServSafe credential.
