Spring Education Group's Early Childhood Education Division includes nearly 150 schools offering services from infant care through Pre-K/K programs, as well as summer camp and after-school programs. Our locations span a nationwide geographic footprint and a diverse array of pedagogical approaches — including our proprietary methods that draw from the collective expertise of renowned early-age educators such as Dewey, Piaget, and Vygotsky; Montessori schools that embrace both accredited Montessori methods – (Association Montessori Internationale) and (American Montessori Society); and progressive language immersion programs in Mandarin and Spanish.
Summary:
You will help create, manage, and participate in various learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives. You will collaborate professionally with other teachers and staff to promote the general well-being of the school and the collective interest of its staff and student body.
Location:1000 Manor Drive, Chalfont, PA
Hours:2:00pm-6:00pm or 3:00pm-6:00pm (Monday through Friday)
Student Age Range: Infants to Pre-K (multiple openings)
Pay:$17.00 to $19.00 per hour (depending on education and experience)
Responsibilities:
- Culture: Positively influence your peers to work toward and meet the school's vision of excellence. Provide and maintain quality education programs. Ensure successful implementation of approved curriculum.
- Health & Safety: Prioritize a safe, clean, and attractive learning environment. Maintain compliance with accreditation and state licensing requirements as well as all applicable state and federal laws, and internal policies and procedures.
- Teach, Inspire, Engage: Our Preschool Assistant Teachers are enthusiastic about developing life-long learners, genuinely care about children, and possess the sensitivity and knowledge to understand a child's individual needs while fostering an inclusive classroom.
- Relationship Building: Have a strong desire to work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse educators and administrators. Develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with the families, students, and school community.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- Be able to carry or lift 25 pounds or less (25-50%) often and 25-50 pounds (10-25%) occasionally.
- Comply with all company and state-specific standards and maintain validation of required credentials for the position.
- Successfully pass state and federal background check.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students.
- A minimum of one of the following:
- High School Diploma or GED AND at least 30 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, or the Human Services field.
- High School Diploma or GED AND 15 relevant credits (or CDA) with at least 1 year of experience with children.
- High School Diploma or GED AND at least two years of experience with children.
