As the Banquet Chef, you will be the heart of our high-volume event kitchen, responsible for translating creative vision into flawless execution. This role is perfect for a Chef who values precision, professionalism, and positive team dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspiring Leadership: Guiding, mentoring, and motivating a dedicated team of culinary professionals to maintain a high-performance, respectful, and organized kitchen environment.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring every dish prepared for banquets and catering events meets our stringent standards for taste, presentation, and consistency, regardless of volume.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborating closely with our Events and Food & Beverage teams to review BEOs, forecast production needs, and manage logistics to ensure smooth service flow.
- Financial Stewardship: Employing sound purchasing practices and inventory controls to responsibly manage food costs while ensuring the highest quality of ingredients.
- Safety & Compliance: Championing a culture of safety and hygiene, strictly adhering to all health department standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: A proven track record of 3 years in a leadership culinary role (Sous Chef or higher), preferably within a luxury hotel, high-end catering, country/golf club, or established convention center environment.
- Expertise: Deep knowledge of various culinary techniques, menu development, and the logistical demands of high-volume banquet service.
- Certifications: Current and valid ServSafe Manager Certification (or equivalent) is required.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to solve problems quickly and calmly under pressure is essential.
