Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Two (2) years of courier experience preferred
- Experience with fleet management and fleet management software is preferred.
- Maintenance & Repairs: Coordinate and schedule all preventative maintenance and necessary repairs with third-party vendors to minimize vehicle down time.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal transportation laws and safety regulations (i.e., DOT regulations, inspections, licensing, and registration).
- Documentation & Records: Maintain detailed and accurate records of vehicle servicing, inspections, maintenance, and fuel consumption using fleet management software.
- Cost & Efficiency Management: Monitor fuel usage and overall fleet expenses, implementing strategies to reduce costs and improv operational efficiency.
- Driver Coordination: Assist with driver schedules, monitor driver behavior to ensure adherence to company policies, and coordinate any required training.
- Vehicle Lifecycle: Support the process for vehicle acquisition and eventual disposal, analyzing data to make informed lease versus buy recommendations.
- Emergency Response: Be available for occasional on-call duties to address fleet-related emergencies or breakdowns in a timely manner.
