Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examinations.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
Assist in procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, catheterization, and wound care.
Manage acute pain effectively and provide support for patients undergoing dialysis or other specialized treatments.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
Experience
Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following areas:
Epic and Cerner EMR systems for efficient patient record management.
Critical care settings including ICU experience or Level I/II trauma center exposure.
Medical office experience with knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding.
Long-term care environments such as assisted living or nursing homes.
Emergency medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine experience is preferred.
Familiarity with hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, or behavioral health is a plus.
Skills in phlebotomy, venipuncture, specimen collection/processing, and airway management are essential.
