Boiler Technician

Chesapeake Systems is expanding and looking for an experienced Boiler Technician to join our growing team!

Pay: up to $50/hr. depending on experience

What You'll Do:

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair on commercial and industrial boilers, including hydronic systems, burners, gas trains, controls, and associated mechanical/electrical components.
• Conduct combustion analysis, adjust fuel-to-air ratios, and verify safe/efficient operation in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Execute preventive maintenance on boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, control valves, expansion tanks, and safety devices.
• Identify root causes of boiler failures (e.g., flame failure, ignition issues, low-water cutouts, relief valve discharge, scaling/sooting) and develop corrective action plans.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control schematics to support accurate troubleshooting.

What You Bring:

• 5 years of experience in boiler systems, with strong diagnostic and repair skills on a variety of manufacturers and models. Bonus points for familiarity with Patterson-Kelley, Raypak, Weil-McLain, and Lochinvar equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and boiler controls.
• Experience with hydronic systems and controls is a plus.
• Strong commitment to safety, with a proven track record in the field.
• Valid driver’s license
• Boiler license and/or certification is a plus.
• A team-oriented approach with a focus on customer satisfaction.
