Sanitation Technician (3rd shift)

Job Summary:

Will perform regular cleaning of rooms and equipment as required according to Sanitation schedules to ensure facility is ready for next day’s production.    

Responsibilities:

• Will wash down production rooms and equipment using appropriate cleaning agents.
• Ensure mixers and equipment are cleaned to standards.
• Utilize floor scrubber.
• Return tools to proper storage area.
• Stay informed of safe use for all chemicals and detergents.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school Diploma or G.E.D. Required. 
• Mixing room experience helpful.
• Previous experience as a porter or sanitation worker preferred. 
• Ability to lift 50 to 100 lbs. repeatedly during shift.
• Work in an environment that is dusty and may contain spices with high heat.
• Ability to work in an environment with recurrent exposure to chemicals and industrial cleaning products.
• Ability to operate compactor machines.
• Able to work 40 hours per week on feet in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Regular stooping, kneeling, climbing, bending at the waist, reaching, and handling.
• Walk long distances repeatedly and climb stairs or ladders.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work in cold and hot temperatures.
• Must be available to work weekends and overtime as needed.
