The Multi-Modality Technologist is responsible for the maintenance and quality of patient care in the assigned departments and throughout the organization.

Minimum Required Education: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Experience: 5 years as a registered technologist
Applicants must be ARRT registered and BLS Certified upon hire
These duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned.
- Produce high quality scans/images using proper positioning and technique.
- Show proficiency in 2 or more Radiology sections.
- Work closely with the Radiology Nurse, Radiologist and Neuro interventionist.
- Utilize assigned functions within the Radiology Information System to complete paperwork and to document contrast media reactions.
- Review patient’s chart for information of physician’s orders and follow written and/or verbal protocols and instructions.
- Work closely with the Radiology Nurse, Radiologist and Neuro interventionist performing procedures.
- Communicate equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to the appropriate Lead.
- Utilize hospital computer systems to enter radiology and laboratory orders, charges, and credits.
- Educate patients, and families as requested, regarding the exam, treatment, and outcome
- Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department or equipment conditions to the appropriate personnel
- Follow department, NRC, and State regulations for radiation safety to keep exposure “ALARA”
- Follow ACR Guidelines to maintain ACR Accreditation.
- Adhere to the Service Excellence Standards and Expectations at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center
- Exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
- Exhibit courteous communication skills and an ability to work with others, exercising good judgment in performance of job duties
