What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Angiography Technologist - Flexi (Inpatient/Hospital Medical Center) position at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare?
The CT/MRI/Angio Technologist is responsible for the maintenance and quality of patient care in the CT/MRI/Angio department and throughout the organization.

Minimum Required Education: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Experience: Previous experience as a registered technologist is preferred, but will accept new graduates
Applicants must be ARRT registered or registry eligible; if registry eligible, applicant must be registered within 3 months of employment
- Produce high quality scans/images using proper positioning and technique
- Work closely with the Radiology Nurse and Radiologist
- Utilize assigned functions within the Radiology Information System to complete paperwork and to document contrast media reactions
- Review patient's chart for information of physician's orders and follow written and/or verbal protocols and instructions
- Work closely with the Radiology Nurse and Radiologist performing biopsy and drainage and all other procedures
- Communicate equipment malfunctions and low inventory levels to the appropriate supervisor
- Utilize hospital computer systems to enter radiology and laboratory orders, charges, and credits
- Educate patients and families as requested regarding the exam, treatment, and outcome
- Perform visual preventative safety inspections and report dangerous department or equipment conditions to the appropriate personnel
- Follow department, NRC, and State regulations for radiation safety to keep exposure "ALARA"
- Follow ACR Guidelines to maintain ACR Accreditation.
