Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Field Service Engineer role based in DC Metro area. The Field Service Engineer will install, maintain, and repair medical imaging equipment at customer locations, ensuring systems operate safely and reliably. This role includes performing routine and preventive maintenance, diagnosing technical issues, and completing timely repairs with minimal disruption to clinical operations. The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site technical support, document service activities, and escalate complex issues when needed. The position also involves building strong customer relationships, clearly communicating service updates, and contributing to continuous improvement of service processes.
Qualifications
- Strong field service experience, including on-site equipment installation, calibration, and repair.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and technical support to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex equipment issues.
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, and maintain professional relationships.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Comfort working in healthcare environments and adhering to safety, quality, and infection-control protocols.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to customer sites within the region.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple service calls and priorities.
- Ability to lift and move equipment as required and work in varied clinical and technical settings.
