What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer Pipe Layer position at Chesapeake Geosystems, Inc?
Location: Regional (Travel Required)
This position requires overnight travel. This is NOT a local or home daily position. You will be away from home Monday-Friday. Weekends at home guaranteed.
Chesapeake Geosystems, based in Baltimore, MD, is looking for reliable pipelayers to assist in assembling and connecting geothermal loops. You’ll be handling pipes, connecting loops, digging trenches and backfilling.
Requirements:
- Prior construction or pipelaying experience is strongly preferred.
- Welding experience is a plus
- Willingness to travel weekdays (overnight)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- A positive attitude and good work ethic
- Attention to safety and ability to follow instructions
Physical Demand:
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dampness and humidity
- Ability to lift, carry and move up to 80 lbs. of heavy equipment
- Frequent physical activity, including reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling climbing
