Market Retail Supervisor

Overview
The Market Retail Supervisor oversees retail operations at The Market, including inventory management, receiving, processing, merchandising, and asset protection.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• Manage all areas of The Market that pertain to retail, including inventory management, receiving and processing deliveries, stock organization, visual merchandising, and asset protection
• Work independently to ensure market retail is clean, well-stocked, organized, ready for sale, and compliant with all applicable standards
• Oversee seasonal product planning, rotation, visual merchandising, holiday retail initiatives, special events, seasonal turnover, and in-store promotions throughout the year
• Support retail operations at the Wilson’s Cove retail location by coordinating transfer of merchandise from The Market and ensuring product presentation aligns with brand standards
• Monitor Wilson’s Cove retail inventory levels and communicate restocking and reordering needs to maintain accurate product availability and consistency between locations
• Partner with the Market Manager to provide clear direction to Market Attendants regarding retail responsibilities and brand standards
• Provide friendly guest service by assisting with retail purchases and answering product questions while on the floor
• Collaborate with hotel and restaurant teams to identify cross-selling opportunities that enhance the overall guest experience
• Partner with the Marketing/Branding department on placing orders (new and reorders), and make strategic buying decisions including new product selection, replenishment, inventory liquidation, and vendor coordination (post 90 days)
• Manage schedule around product delivery and merchandising to optimize sales
• Manage the Yellow Dog inventory software system and monthly inventory counts to ensure all products are accurately tracked
• Monitor sales performance through daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
• Create and implement standards to enhance efficiency and support business operations
• Ensure all required supplies are ordered, stored, and available for use in The Market

Physical Requirements

• Be able to lift to 25 lbs.
• Walk, stand and sit during the entire shift.
• Continuously reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, and clean.

Reporting Structure

• Reports to VP of Strategy and Brand Management, and in collaboration with the Market Manager.

Schedule Expectations

• Full-time position averaging 32 hours per week with flexibility based on business demands
• Regular weekend availability (Saturday and/or Sunday) required based on business needs
• Schedule includes a balance of floor coverage, merchandising, and inventory management
• Supervisor is expected to independently manage workflow and timing for receiving inventory, processing inventory, and maintaining retail displays during both peak and non-peak periods

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
