Purpose :

Provides leadership to the environmental and grounds service hourly team members by working closely with the Director of Facilities to ensure the high standards of cleanliness of all resort public areas are met and consistent with the execution of Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort quality standards, operating systems, procedures, philosophies, and cultural icons.  

Key Accountabilities:

Actively supervise adherence to Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort’s quality standards, operating systems/procedures, safety regulations/requirements. 

Role model and actively influence the behavior of others to ensure core values and mission statement are reflected in daily practice, promoting a safe and healthy work environment and superior guest experience.  

Actively develop team members to support the organization’s talent pipeline and drive growth. 

Ensure resort facilities are maintained. 

Represent, support, and protect the Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort brand. 

Promote a safe and healthy work environment and superior guest experience.

Requirements

Core Responsibilities:

Assist the Director of Facilities and work with team members to make our property shine. ? 

Teach and coach hourly team members on maintaining Rod ‘N’ Reel Resort’s cleanliness and sanitation standards. 

Ensure that the knowledge, tools/skills, expectations, and the core values are in practice at the resort. 

Ensure team members wear proper uniform, name tags and ID badge, taking personal pride in our appearance, language, and behavior. 

Ensure a safe and accident-free environment. ?Make our guests feel safe, creating a worry-free, carefree experience. 

Ensure team members greet guests with friendly welcomes and smiles. ?Saying thank you on their departure. 

Ensure team members respect the diversity of our guests and fellow team members and treat both with respect. 

Ensure team members are committed, reliable, trustworthy, and accountable for their work activities. 

Check and stock chemicals in all departments of the resort. 

Inventory bi-weekly of supplies. 

Communicate new ideas to the Director of Facilities to improve productivity. 

Communicate all operational issues, concerns, or changes to the management team. 

Communicate and model a positive attitude with the players and guests.  

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience in ESA/Grounds work. 

High-level organizational skills with multi-task capabilities 

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage workloads with minimum direction 

High attention to detail and follow through 

Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills 

Dependable, reliable, and highly motivated 

Ability to communicate effectively in English 

Physical Requirements:

The team member is required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 10-20 pounds on a regular basis and up to 40 or more pounds occasionally, with assistance. 

Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time with basic range of motion. (Bending, twisting, reaching, etc.) 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
