Open Job Position: Server / Wait Staff
Employment Type: Part-Time
Typical Schedule: Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Our Servers/Wait Staff’s primary purpose is to celebrate and enhance the lives of our residents. And we know we need hire the right people to fulfill our primary purpose.
Position Summary: Maintains efficient performance in food delivery in the dining department and ensures adequate follow through of job duties as outlined by supervisor. Complies with federal, state, and local standards for facility operation. Follows policies and procedures, assures good public relations and employee morale. Communicates with facility personnel in a positive manner. Ensures supportive environment for residents and staff.
Essential Duties:
· Keeps dining room clean by wiping down tables, resetting, vacuuming, and cleaning surfaces to keep free from food debris. Ensures clean, safe, and esthetic environment in the dining room and kitchen.
· Serve food as outlined by menu and ensures appropriate and appetizing presentation of food items. Responsible to address food complaints immediately if possible and offer alternative.
· Assists personnel and residents in establishing a home-like atmosphere.
· A love of working with the elderly in a customer-service-oriented environment
· Ensure that residents are safe, cared for, and comfortable.
Required Qualifications:
· Must be able to speak, read and write at a basic level in the English language.
· Have and maintain CPR & First Aid Certification (on-site training available).
· Great attitude, and willingness to learn. All employees will be required to complete online, and in-person industry and position-specific training required by the State and CherryWood Village.
· Continually have good organizational and teamwork skills that promote positive and productive work force.
