Position OverviewOur client is a well-established and growing commercial general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering ground-up projects across restaurant, retail, and commercial sectors. As the company continues to expand into larger and more complex builds, they are seeking a commercial Project Manager who can operate independently and take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable in the field and in the office, with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and internal teams. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, strong technical knowledge, and experience managing ground-up commercial projects in the $5M–$20M range.
- Manage 2–3 ground-up commercial projects simultaneously
- Oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, and execution
- Work closely with Superintendents, maintaining strong field communication and support
- Conduct regular jobsite visits and lead in-person project meetings
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and documentation using Procore
- Participate in estimating, bid review, and subcontractor selection
- Collaborate with architects and owners on value engineering and design adjustments
- Help implement and improve internal processes as the company continues to grow
- Mentor and support junior project managers and field staff
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, organized, and up to date in Procore
- 5 years of Project Management experience within ground-up commercial construction
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a GC environment
- Background in restaurant, retail, church, office, or similar commercial projects
- Experience managing projects in the $10M range
- Working knowledge of Procore
- Experience coordinating with Superintendents, subcontractors, and design teams
- Strong understanding of construction schedules, budgets, and cost control
- Willingness to be both in the office and actively in the field
- Experience scaling from smaller projects into larger, more complex commercial builds
- Background in fast-paced project environments with multiple active jobs
