Purpose: The Program Manager is responsible for development, training, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of Cherry Street Mission’s programming to eradicate poverty and homelessness. This position provides direct supervision of Community Resource Navigators and ensures they have the appropriate training and support to manage caseloads with professionalism and dignity.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage Community Resource Navigators (CRN); interviewing, scheduling, coaching and accountability, performance evaluations; facilitate weekly team meetings
  • Provide support for staff and guests as needed in problem solving, conflict resolution, etc.
  • Closely oversee CRN caseloads and assign new guests following equitable processes
  • Provide oversight for CSM programming with alignment to industry best practices, including assessment of effectiveness and adjustments as needed
  • Oversee program data collection, software and related personnel
  • Monitor and evaluate performance metrics and adjust program model to address opportunities and concerns
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOP) for programming, ensure the ongoing adherence for quality service delivery
  • Implement ongoing process for Guest feedback and ensure input leads to program improvements
  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships within the community by attending coalition meetings and building resource network
  • Participate in Manager On Call rotation
  • Monitor and execute budget for program staff and guest programming funds
  • Collaborate with other departments for organizational projects and initiatives
  • Assist with holiday and special event planning and implementation

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health & Human Services, Master of Social Work (MSW) Preferred
  • Experience supervising/managing other employees

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and Electronic Health Records

Licenses, Certificates, and Other Requirements

  • Driver's License Required
  • Mental Health First Aid Certified or completed within the first year of employment
  • CPR Certified or completed within the first year of employment
  • Suicide Prevention Training or completed within the first year of employment
  • Trauma- Informed Care Training or completed within the first year of employment

Lifting Requirements

  •  Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  •  Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
