Caregiver

Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing direct support to individuals, ensuring their daily needs are met with dignity and respect. This position is ideal for those who have a passion for helping others and want to make a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities or those requiring assistance in nursing home settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to residents, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, ensuring hygiene standards are upheld.
• Assist residents in social activities, promoting engagement and interaction.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' health or behavior to the nursing staff.
• Uphold resident rights by respecting their privacy and dignity at all times.
• Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing homes or social work is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of resident rights and the ability to advocate for individuals with disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and assisting residents as needed.
• Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
• A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others.
