Key Responsibilities
Weekly, Event, Head of School & Major Communications
As the Communications Coordinator at Cherry Hills Christian School, you will:
- Produce and distribute the large-scale weekly Parent Friday News.
- Produce and distribute the weekly Head of School News.
- Draft, prepare, and deploy emergency and weather-related communications.
- Manage major all-school communications, including special announcements and school-wide updates.
- Coordinate Lower School newsletter content, including collection, editing, formatting, and uploads.
- Manage additional recurring email communications and school-wide messaging throughout the year.
- Load, schedule, and deploy communications in Mailchimp.
- Follow up with staff to gather missing information and ensure accuracy of all communications.
- Prepare and distribute event communications for parents and families.
- Upload approved content into school portals, web pages, and related systems.

- Build, maintain, and optimize project boards and workflow systems.
- Intake, manage, and prioritize communications and marketing requests.
- Track deadlines, deliverables, and project dependencies.
- Ensure smooth project progression and prevent missed tasks or gaps.
- Manage Google Ads, including media buys, keywords, tags, and optimization.
- Support print advertising for local publications and Valor Christian High School.
- Maintain website calendar feeds for school and athletics through Google Calendar syncing.
- Create updated versions of print and digital materials for events, including resizing and formatting.
- Support communications and materials for school programs, performances, ceremonies, and special events.
- Serve as liaison with Lands’ End and Educational Outfitters.
- Update uniform guidelines to ensure clarity and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date uniform-related web pages.
- Manage teacher event sign-ups (especially the heavy load at the start of the year).
- Coordinate sports registration (four times per year).
- Manage club registration (two times per year).
- Manage conference registration (two times per year).
- Provide light copywriting and editing as needed.
- Collaborate with administrative staff as a partner in advancing the school’s mission.
