Position Summary
As a Resident Care Specialist, you will provide hands-on care and support to residents while ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, and contribute to a clean, engaging, and supportive home environment.
This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, attentive, and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
What You’ll Do
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and basic hygiene
- Support mobility, ambulation, transferring, repositioning, and overall comfort
- Encourage and assist residents with meals, hydration, and snacks
- Monitor and report changes in resident condition, behavior, or health status
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, following all policies and procedures
- Accurately document care and medication administration in accordance with MAR requirements
- Verify medication orders and ensure proper labeling, dosage, and administration
- Assist with kitchen and dining tasks including meal preparation, serving, and cleanup
- Perform general housekeeping and laundry duties
- Engage residents in activities and encourage participation to enhance quality of life
- Communicate effectively with team members, leadership, and families
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment
