Responsibilities
- Assist with food production and meal preparation in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Serve meals to residents with friendly, attentive customer service, ensuring proper portioning and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, kitchen, and food handling stations through regular sanitation and sanitation procedures
- Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning utensils, and organizing supplies for efficient meal service
- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to prevent contamination
- Help with inventory management by stocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
Skills
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation standards
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle meal service during busy periods
- Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail in food handling and safety procedures
- Familiarity with culinary practices, cooking basics, and dietetics principles is a plus
- Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly approach toward residents and staff
- Ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12.0 – 40.0 per week
