SUMMARY: Assist the Performance Improvement Department Directors in developing and implementing online assessment and data reporting tools for use within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) framework and to inform instructional decision-making in the classroom. Partner with district staff to continually align assessment tools with curricular resources and instructional practices, develop training plans and guidelines to support educators in the creation and administration of online assessments and interpretation of data and results, and collaborate with information systems staff on data and system requirements to ensure integrity of student data for online assessment administration and data reporting.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out.   • Lead, implement, and communicate the scope and schedule for the implementation, utilization, and technical support of a districtwide Comprehensive Aligned Assessment System (CAAS) and MTSS framework. [Daily, 25%]
  • Lead the collaborative efforts with school and district staff, including building leaders and district administrators, in the development and maintenance of assessment tools aligned to curricular and instructional resources. [Daily, 25%]
  • Create and manage training and guidance documents to build technical expertise amongst district staff to successfully integrate online assessment tools and data reports within daily instructional practices and a MTSS framework. [Daily, 20%]
  • Collaborate with other offices in the development and maintenance of a districtwide universal instructional framework, providing guidance on the use of a CAAS and data tools to inform instructional decision-making, including within a MTSS framework. [Daily, 10%]
  • Collaborate with information systems staff and other offices as needed to review and update existing data requirements and processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy of the online assessment and MTSS framework tools. [Monthly, 10%]
  • Provide Customer Service Support for School and District Staff utilizing the in-house ticketing system. In addition, work with vendor support teams to submit tickets on behalf of Teachers if issues arise that cannot be resolved in-house. [Daily, 5%]
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. [Daily, 5%]

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with adult learning theory and professional learning.
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching or Principal license
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions to guide instructional work within schools (for example, knowledge of RTI and MTSS processes and the data needed to support those processes).
  • Experience developing assessments and using data for instructional decision-making.
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other qualifications relevant to the position that are strongly preferred but not mandatory for a candidate to be considered.

  • Formal education beyond a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience teaching K-12 classrooms.
  • Experience training educators in the use of technology to support classroom teaching and learning.
  • Experience with instructional assessment tools including Illuminate DnA, FastBridge and eduCLIMBER.
