Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of all financial data
- Oversee cash flow, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Manage job cost accounting, including budget vs. actual tracking
- Handle project accounting, contract tracking, and cost allocations
- Process AIA billing and all construction-related invoicing
- Manage AP, including subcontractor invoices and vendor payments
- Manage AR, including progress billing and collections
- Maintain lien releases, COIs, and subcontractor compliance
- Process certified payroll for approximately 28 employees
- Ensure compliance with prevailing wage laws and reporting requirements
- Utilize QuickBooks for all accounting operations
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in construction
- Proficiency in QuickBooks required
- Strong understanding of job costing, project accounting, and AIA billing
- Experience processing certified payroll
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (but not required)
