Junior Accountant
Location: Greater Fort Lauderdale area
Reports To: Controller
We’re partnering with a growing organization to identify a Junior Accountant to support their corporate accounting function. This is a strong opportunity for someone early in their accounting career to gain hands-on exposure across GL, month-end, and financial reporting in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the general ledger and record daily financial transactions
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure account balances are accurate
- Support accounts payable processing, invoice review, and approvals
- Maintain and update vendor records
- Prepare and post journal entries during month-end close
- Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and variance analysis
- Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Support fixed asset tracking, audits, and accruals
- Identify and resolve discrepancies across accounts and transactions
- Contribute to budgeting, resource planning, and tax-related initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting or relevant internship experience preferred
- Exposure to ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
